Dropping The NFT's

I’ve decided to delve into the NFT world and see whats going on. For this I have enlisted the help of CRFTD.app whole helped me through the part that would usually have me in tears after reading and failing to understand any written instructions. I have started with a collection of 51 photographs from the Night Swimmers series. These have the traits of being the blue to green water , Male subject in various different spirits from Energized trough Stillness. All of them are emanating positivity.

Now I was told that I had to do my knowledge that is, reading up on how NFT’s actually work. I read a lot I watched a lot and I still now find it hard to get my head around it all.

Many of the pieces are so far unpublished on any other format and It has given me the opportunity to delve into my shooting sessions and pull out some real gems that I might otherwise have let slip.

15 of the 51 Unique Works as NFT’s

I started a year ago by creating a wallet on Metamask and creating a presence in the marketplace. I spent time analyzing what other artists were doing, what was selling and how would I fit into this world as a photographer. I listened to podcasts and found out some stuff.

What only came to light at the very last minute, was the fact that this is a blind sale. That is the collector doesn’t actually know which piece they are buying, just that it is 1 of 52. This seems to be a common method of launching digital art and we shall have to see if it works for one off photographs. Let’s go with it and see where it takes us.

I have further collections from this series for release in the near future and perhaps some single pieces to release once i’m up to speed things. I’ll keep you updated.

Whatever happens this is a beautiful collection full of energy and positivity, stillness and clarity. Which ever piece the collector is landed with will be of great spiritual benefit to them, for that I am sure.

Pass this on to anyone who you think might be alive in the NFT world.

‘The Sky Is The Limit’ from the TV mini series ‘Lisey’s Story’ by Stephen King.

The Image ‘The Sky Is The Limit’ was used by the creators of ‘Lisey’s Story’ in a TV adaptation of the Stephen King Novel. Printed at about 50 inches high and adorning the hallway of the main protagonists home Juliana Moore / Clive Owen. It so very suited the theme and the color treatment of the miniseries, with it’s dark, watery, dreamlike scenes.

Note : There’s a scary monster in it and it’s in a dream…

If anyone has any advice or suggestion regarding NFT’s I’d be happy to hear from you. I’ll be pushing it on Twitter and Instagram / Facebook and i’ll try to be more present here on my site.

As a photographer, I have always been interested in exploring new ways of sharing my work with the world. In recent years, the world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) has emerged as an exciting new frontier for digital artists, and I am eager to explore how my photographs could fit into this virtual world.

WHAT ARE NFT’S ?

NFTs are digital assets that are verified using blockchain technology, which allows for unique ownership and authenticity of digital art. This means that my photographs could be turned into NFTs and sold as one-of-a-kind digital art pieces.

One of the most exciting aspects of NFTs is the potential for artists to earn a fair price for their work. In the traditional art world, it can be difficult for emerging artists to make a living from their work, but NFTs offer a new avenue for artists to sell their work directly to collectors without the need for intermediaries like galleries or auction houses.

Of course, there are challenges to be addressed when it comes to selling photographs as NFTs. One of the biggest hurdles is the issue of copyright and intellectual property. As a photographer, I would need to ensure that the NFTs I create are properly licensed and that I retain ownership of the original files. Additionally, there is the issue of how to properly display and market the NFTs to potential buyers.

Despite the challenges, I have made the leap and now shall see how deep these photographs take me into this new digital landscape. I believe that NFTs have the potential to revolutionize the way that artists and collectors interact with digital art, and I am keen to get involved.
