Heavenly SwimCalifornia. U.S.A. 2014A warm summer night and through the window I hear the splash of someone diving into the pool. Then silence expecting the sound of the swimmers’ stroke. Compelled to explore, I leaned out of my eighth floor window to see the figure below, ever so quietly pulling herself through the deep green waters of the pool without breaking the surface. A slow, calming almost meditative stroke. I could sense the pressure of the day being wiped away with each movement and with the gentle release of the shutter I captured the sensation onto a single frame.The Night Swimmers, 2014
