The Cow’s Resting Upon The Beacon.

The South Downs, England. July 2023

The cow’s are resting at Firle. They have found their nicely sheltered comfort spot to rest and feed.  They commune within the well of an old bomb crater and look out across the lush green fields of the South Downs, across the Seven Sisters and out to sea and the clear blue skies. Cooled by the breezes they float past on their way to the formation  of the drama that is unfolding of the leeward slope. 

The dramatic lighting reminiscent of an oil painting from the one of the masters. Dark dramatic skies with a touch hope and calm on the horizon. The light streams in beneath the clouds to warm and to wash the darkness away ……. A wonderfully communal and relaxing moment, split by two differing weather systems.
